Buying in Spain follows a clear legal process. Here's what to expect at each stage.
- 1. Get your NIE number (foreigner ID)
- 2. Open a Spanish bank account
- 3. Find a property & make an offer
- 4. Sign reservation contract & pay deposit
- 5. Due diligence (lawyer checks debts & title)
- 6. Sign at the notary & pay balance
- 7. Register the property & pay taxes
